Good morning, everyone.
My name is Thelma Uche, and I would like to sincerely appreciate the GTYF for the opportunity to be part of one of its impactful programs.
I benefited from an online program last year which was hosted via Zoom. The topic for that day was "Empowering Teens & Youths: Navigating Success, Resilience and Well-being," which was taught by Mr. Tosin, where he also talked about self-esteem. Honestly, before that program, I sincerely didn't have self-esteem. I wasn't confident enough to speak or even express myself. Whenever I went out, I was always too shy to socialize because I felt like people's eyes had already judged me even before I could speak.
Luckily, I joined this online program, and I must say that it helped me in so many ways. I left my comfort zone and began to socialize and build up my self-confidence. This program also became my push to start my business (Tee Luxe), and I will forever be grateful for that day.
GTYF is not just a forum; it is a place where the lives of youths and teenagers can be transformed.
I give big kudos to the Convener/coordinators for starting this forum that has made an impact in the lives of the younger generation (Gen Z).” Dear GTYF Team, I am writing to express my profound gratitude and admiration for the Grooming Teens and Youth Foundation (GTYF), expertly coordinated by Mrs. Chinny Okoye. My name is Victor, and my life has been profoundly impacted by the love and guidance I’ve received through GTYF. Growing up in a remote village, I often struggled with planning my goals, usually tackling them in isolation without seeking advice. Moving to Lagos, I was fortunate to be introduced to Mrs. Okoye and her teens/youths platform. Her genuine love and passion for the youth are palpable, creating an environment where young people feel truly seen and supported. The 2025 Teens/youths Summit was a turning point for me. The session on group planning, led by one of the speakers, was particularly transformative. We were guided to form small groups and plan for the immediate future. The “miracle” was discovering that members within my group held the knowledge and strategies I was missing to execute my own aspirations. This experience dissolved the isolation I often felt and opened my eyes to the power of collaboration and mentorship. Since that summit, my perspective and approach to life have fundamentally changed. GTYF has equipped me with the tools and confidence to pursue my goals with a clearer vision and the invaluable support of a community. I wholeheartedly recommend GTYF to any teenager or young adult seeking guidance, inspiration, and a nurturing environment to grow. Thank you, Mrs. Chinny Okoye and the entire GTYF team, for your unwavering dedication to shaping a brighter future for young people. Sincerely, Good morning ma, I’m doing well, thank you for asking. Here is my testimonial... Participating in the 2025 Krya International Kids Conference on Zoom was a valuable experience for me. The program exposed me to topics I had not encountered before and helped me build new connections. I met new people from different backgrounds during the sessions, and that interaction improved my communication and networking skills. The conference gave me exposure and inspired me to think bigger. I appreciate GTYF for organizing such an impactful program. Best regards, Hello GTYF family, *My Testimony*
_By Oyibo Emmanuel_
Before I joined *GTYF*, I used to think _"we are the leaders of tomorrow"_.
But through GTYF, God changed my mindset. I now understand that *we are leaders of the today*. We can start making impact right now.
GTYF taught me to ground everything in God and His Word. I learned from the mistakes of people in the Bible so that I won’t fall into the same traps.
Because of what I learned, I started a group in my school called *"The Zealous People"*.
We are students from Science, Arts, and Commercial. Our goal is simple: *be zealous for God, for learning, and for each other*. We encourage ourselves with the Bible and push one another to do better.
Personally, GTYF has helped me a lot:
1. *I’ve become more creative*
2. *My academics have improved*
3. *I read more now*
4. *I’ve learned to hand over my pressure to God instead of keeping it to myself*
I want to thank God for GTYF, for Mrs. Okoye, and for everyone who poured into me.
I’ve also come to understand that *anything we do affects our country*. So I’ve decided to do the right thing and be a present leader.
